My one-night stop on the way to Grindewald was supposed to be just a place to pass through, but it ended up being the highlight of five days traveling around Switzerland. Daniel, the owner, and his staff were so cool and nice. Daniel, thanks for taking me in without a reservation and giving me the “favorite” room! I can't wait to find time to come back to this hotel in Weggis in the summer. Best part of the whole trip!

We didn't stay overnight, just had lunch with our family at Hotel Central am See in Weggis, but it left a great impression. The lakeside garden was stunning, a lovely place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The food was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented, and the friendly staff made the meal even better. A memorable lunch by the lake, highly recommended.

Thanks for a lovely dinner, Central Team. The food was delicious: we had the Schnitzel and Pork Duo, both juicy and well seasoned, with generous, tasty sides. The plates were clean and nicely presented. The menu is small but well put together, and the wine list is thoughtfully done. We were seated by the window in the winter garden on a rainy day, with a great view. The room felt simple, the tables were well spaced, and the staff greeted us warmly. The terrace by the lake is large and beautiful, so hopefully the weather will be good enough to sit out there next time. See you again soon.

This was the only disappointing hotel on our two-week trip in Switzerland. Its position by the lake is nice, but the rooms were extremely uncomfortable and felt well below three-star standards. The management at Central Am See was worse still: aloof, rude and misleading to me and other guests, with no interest in helping at all.

The pool has the most gorgeous view, and my daughter had a blast. Our room was so cozy, and breakfast was amazing as long as you go on time, not at the last minute. One of the best hotels ever. I'd recommend it to everyone!
