25hours Hotel Zurich West

This was my sixth stay at 25hours Hotel Zurich West, if I remember correctly, and I spent 10 days there in February. The breakfast remains excellent, and I appreciate a lot about the hotel. The gym was a letdown this time: both exercise bikes were malfunctioning, and the treadmill’s speed control did not work properly. I reported all of this to reception at the start of the stay, but nothing had improved by the time I left. I value the property and hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience.

I chose this place because it was close to my office. It’s in a fairly residential area and a little out of the way for sightseeing in Zurich, though getting around is easy thanks to the nearby transport options. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean and well appointed. Breakfast was great too. I’d stay again.

The tram stops right outside, and it’s about a 15-minute ride to the HBF. That makes it a quiet base, with some cool little spots close by. We had such a good time here, and the breakfast was amazing, with so many choices. It was the second hotel of our Europe trip, and I wish I hadn’t booked the next few already because I’d have liked to try their other locations too. Really fun vibe.

We used the hotel as a base for day trips by car to Appenzell, Schaffhausen and St Gallen, and public transport is easy to access too. The decor is funky, with witty phrases everywhere, and there’s good music for anyone. The staff had great energy, especially the breakfast crew. Migros and Coop are close; Migros also has an outlet for deeply discounted stuff. The Vitality suite has a cooktop, water boiler, fridge, microwave, exercise bike and workout equipment. It’s a great fit for families with kids, or even big kids. I’ll look forward to staying again in Zurich or at another 25hours location. Open one in Austin bitte!
