The room was the biggest problem for me. It was extremely small and claustrophobic, with no window or ventilation, and barely enough room to stand. The bed filled nearly all the space, so I had to open my suitcase on it. Even the private bathroom was tiny, about four floor tiles. The old bed, blanket, and pillow had a musty smell. The water heater was broken, so there was no hot water, and nobody came to help. The AC remote didn’t work either. I messaged on WhatsApp and got no reply, then called. Staff told me to switch the power on and off instead of using the remote. When I called again about another issue, no one answered. It was also hard to find V Inn Hotel in September. It’s inside a residential building, not on the main street, and figuring out the right block and floor was confusing even with Google Maps. The price is cheap, but service, room condition, and environment were very poor. The building is mostly occupied by Indian residents, and the hotel is managed by Indian owners. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially to first-time visitors to Hong Kong. The room felt trapped, airless, and uncomfortable, not worth even a short stay.

The rooms are tiny, and in some of them things don’t always work, like the noisy air cons. Still, for the price it’s hard to complain. The location is absolutely great for a short visit to Hong Kong. Thank you, MJ, for making our stay so pleasant and for being genuinely lovely.

The room is small but clean and cool, and I slept well during my three nights. For a budget hotel in the Tsim Sha Tsui area, V Inn is worth it as long as you keep your expectations in check. MJ, the housekeeper, was friendly and helpful, and cleaned the room every day without being asked. I could get around easily, with the MTR station and airport bus stop nearby. I arrived early in the morning, and they still checked me in after I’d contacted them on WhatsApp a few days earlier. Beside the elevator, an old man sells five bottles of water for 10 HKD. Nice place to stay.

The room isn’t spacious, but it was enough for one person. I found the place comfortable, even though lots of people say it’s terrible because it’s in Chungking Mansion. The lady was humble and full of useful information, and spoke English well. The WiFi was fair, and there was hot water, a hair dryer, and a fan.

The room is really small, so don’t expect much. For the price, I think it’s reasonable overall, but not right for a family trip. The host doesn’t respond to messages, which makes it hard if you want to store luggage before or after check-in. Check-in is in Block E, on the 16th floor.
