I shared a nine-person mixed dorm with three friends, so there were five strangers in the room. I wouldn't recommend it. Most of the other people seemed older and kept to themselves. If you're alone, it may be a cheap place to stay, but hold on to your belongings when you sleep. The luggage compartments aren't very big either. I couldn't fit both my carry-on and backpack. Think it through before booking, is it worth it?

The dorms are laid out well, so even with lots of people in the larger rooms it wasn't a problem. The lockers are good, and it's a nice hostel in a good location. Wi-Fi was generally very slow, and some staff weren't especially friendly. Also, take the five-star reviews with a grain of salt, since the hostel is asking for them in exchange for juice, as shown in the attached picture.

A nice, inexpensive hostel with clean rooms, comfortable bunks, and good showers. The rooftop terrace is okay, though the common room feels a bit awkward. Check-in is flexible, and the rooms have secure lockers for bags. Each bed comes with a USB charging point, a plug socket, and a light.

You're right in the middle of Hong Kong's busiest areas, with restaurants, 7 11, and shopping malls nearby. Causeway Bay MRT is about 3-5 minutes away, and most party and shopping spots are under 30 minutes by subway or bus. The beaches are farther off, but getting around is still convenient. The staff were very nice and helpful. I shared a private bathroom with eight other dorm guests, which seemed like it might mean a long wait, but people used it at different times and were considerate, so it wasn't an issue. There's also a clean public restroom by the common area for emergencies. The bed curtains give some privacy but don't close all the way. The mattress was clean and very comfortable. Bring earplugs, since there are several people sharing the room. In summer, a full room can smell a little funky, so keep that in mind if it's not for you. This is a popular backpackers hostel. The elevator starts on 1F, which is the second floor, while reception is on 2F, the third floor. Confusing, I know. There's only one elevator, and it can take a while or head the other way first, so be patient or use the stairs.
