The views from the hostel were great, and it was only two blocks from the main square. It was also very inexpensive, about $7usd/night, and two nights was manageable for me. I couldn’t have stayed longer, especially because of the mold. The rooms were damp and unclean, with puddles on the floor and black mold on ALL the walls in both the rooms and bathrooms. My pillow was dirty. There was no laundry service, despite it being advertised on their Hostel world property listing, and the WiFi sometimes didn’t work.

We booked a private room with a bathroom and shower, but there was no hot water, and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut. When I raised it at reception, they said that was just how it was and couldn’t be fixed. The room was very dirty and full of insects, including a cockroach. The place didn’t seem maintained at all. They also knocked and woke my friend to ask for payment even though we had booked several more nights and told them we would pay. I definitely don’t recommend staying here.

I had a really unpleasant stay, despite the lovely staff. Frequent rain flooded my room and soaked all my things. One morning, I found feces on the top bunk and on my towel. The staff promptly gave me a new towel and cleaned the room, but the experience was unpleasant overall. The pool and jacuzzi were nice, and the shower was great.

The views were beautiful, and the outdoor pool looked lovely, though the weather meant we couldn't enjoy it much. I stayed one night in a private room before hiking Cocora Valley. It was a cheaper option, but the room wasn't comfortable and felt very damp. Clothes in our backpacks got damp too, and a jumper I hung up seemed to get wetter instead of drying. The shared toilets were always wet, probably because of other guests. Service was average. It wasn't my favorite hostel.
