We had an awesome time and would stay here again. It’s very clean and affordable, with A/C, two full bathrooms, and one half bath. Downtown Fortuna is about five minutes away by car, and rafting and hot springs are also close by.
We only stayed a few hours instead of the three days we’d booked. After dinner, we returned to find the house had been broken into and many things were gone. Someone had simply broken open the bedroom’s rear door. Future visitors should know that the house seems very vulnerable to burglary: weak locks, no fence, little lighting, and easy escape routes because it’s isolated. The house is also for sale. We booked through Booking.com and they haven’t responded to our report. Bad.
The place is lovely, very clean and comfortable. From the balcony, you can see the impressive Arenal beach.
Such a kind and accommodating owner. I highly recommend them!
