The room was peaceful, and the air conditioning worked well. We were mostly out during the day, using the hotel as a base for Izaru, Cartago, and Orosi. Parking was easy, and our car was monitored for safety. The king bed was very comfortable. We did have a balcony, though being on the first floor meant the mountain view we expected was partly blocked by buildings and power lines, so it’s best to confirm what view to expect. There’s also an on-site restaurant serving Chinese food.

We came here because we needed to visit the US Embassy, and Veronica and Jorge went out of their way to help us feel at home. The atmosphere is nice and the service was fantastic. If you’re going to the Embassy, this is a great spot. Some of the best hospitality in Costa Rica!

Jorge at the front desk made our vacation memorable with his helpful suggestions. The rooms were easy to find your way around, the hotel was very clean, and breakfast was tasty. Thanks to him and all the staff for making us comfortable during our time in Costa Rica. I was really happy with our stay.

We spent our last night here before leaving the country, and the location worked well for us in a nice part of San Jose, less than a kilometer from the U.S. embassy. The rate was reasonable, the staff were welcoming, and we could park on site. Breakfast was included and delicious. The room was simple but had everything we needed. There was some construction during our visit, though it barely affected us and we hardly saw the workers. I’d recommend it if you’re staying in the area.

The location felt safe and sits roughly between downtown and the airport, with some nice cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Our room was roomy, quiet, and clean, and both the room and facilities felt modern, possibly because of a recent renovation. Jorge and Dora at reception deserve special thanks for their local tips and for helping us sort out frustrating problems with our rental car company. We had a great stay at Hotel Isla Verde, and their efforts made a real difference.
