Jungla Urbana BnB - Adults Only

We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome because of how Manager Luis handled an honest mistake. Instead of communicating calmly, Luis reacted aggressively and disrespectfully, then escalated the situation. After reading other reviews, we saw that other guests had described similar behavior, so it did not seem like an isolated experience. His short temper made the place feel neither safe nor hospitable. We reported what happened to Amex Travel and would not stay here again. Do not book.

We would not return or recommend this place. The host was rude and aggressive over an honest mistake, escalating things instead of speaking respectfully. Their reaction and attitude made us feel unwelcome and very uncomfortable. Guests deserve basic respect, and we felt that was missing here. It felt unsafe.

The B&B is beautiful, with rooms and art I loved, and getting to the embassy from here was remarkably convenient. But the dog smell caused a problem for me because I'm allergic. Our room door would open unless locked, and since we only had one key, it had to stay locked whenever either of us went out. Breakfast was only fruit and toast with marmalade. The shower was barely warm, and its hot-water handle came off.

Very clean place, and the location couldn't be better for embassy business, just a 90-second walk to the American Embassy. It's close to everything you need nearby. The Fresh Market is really close too, and Central Market downtown is about a 15-minute Uber ride away. Don't miss it.
