My stay at the Spa Hotel was a disaster. The staff were rude and unfriendly, and the place lacked cleanliness and hospitality. I can't think of a single redeeming quality. For anyone hoping for a relaxing spa stay, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere. The hotel fell well short of basic service and cleanliness standards.

For the price, it was fair, though nothing special. The hotel has some character with its vintage elevator and high ceilings, but the furniture is very simple and cheap. Cleanliness was perfect, absolutely no issues. The reception lady spoke only Czech. We were given two separate beds even though our booking showed one, and since we arrived late and tired, it was hard to explain. Service was poor.

At the spa desk I felt practically invisible. The receptionist didn't greet me or ask what treatments or services I was interested in. It seemed like an afterthought, especially compared with the warmer welcome and personal recommendations given to guests who appeared more affluent.

The Neoclassical decor is beautiful, and the hotel is lovely, right in the center of Karlovy Vary. My room and shower room were great, and breakfast was excellent. The facilities all worked properly, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it.
