Hotel MANI by AMANO

The location is easy to reach, right next to Alexanderplatz, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms felt beautiful and cozy, with a much more luxurious look than you'd expect for €60 per person for two nights.

The location is perfect, the breakfast was good, and I felt safe and welcome. AMANO will be my first choice when I'm back in Berlin. The reception team are gold. They looked after my parcels, even sending one back that arrived after I'd left, and offered a few useful extras during my stay. They did it all so naturally that it never felt like a burden, just thoughtful hospitality that made me feel at home.

We stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. The rooms were clean, the service was amazing, and the location in Mitte was great, with lots of souvenir and trinket shops nearby. We also tried brunch at the restaurant and liked it a lot. After check-out, my friend realized she'd left a bracelet in the room. The hotel took responsibility and sent it back to Barcelona a couple of days later.

The hotel is comfortable and well located, though it doesn't really have a social atmosphere. I liked its elegant style, character, and slightly sexy feel, probably fun for couples or people hooking up. Breakfast was really good and nicely presented. There's also a ground-floor snack bar that I believe stays open all night, so you can get a drink or sandwich anytime. I followed the simple self-check-in instructions exactly, but my key card wouldn't open the room door and just kept flashing blue. It was hard to find anyone in the lobby, so I asked the young girl at the bar. She helped, but wasn't friendly or gracious about it. There was nobody else around and no other customers. Maybe I caught her at a bad moment, but it feels bad when a machine is your first greeting and the only person you see treats you like an inconvenience. It set the tone for the stay. Still, I thought the hotel was very nice.
