We stopped in for lunch, not as hotel guests. The food was fine but didn’t really stand out. Service was quick, though I found the waitress could’ve been a bit friendlier.

Right in front of the Kleiner Müggelsee, this is a lovely spot to unwind. It’s our favorite German beer garden restaurant in the area just outside Berlin, and the staff always greet us with good humor and lots of character. We couldn’t recommend it more. Definitely worth a stop on a Berlin visit. You can get there by car or public transport. There’s also a boat that runs from spring through autumn, or you can join a boat tour leaving from the pier at Müggelpark in Friedrichshagen, which also operates only in those seasons.

You can get here by ferry, bus, car, or bicycle, and it’s right beside the Spree. Sitting outside in the shade of the trees by the water is amazing. The staff were very friendly. I loved the food: I had the original Sauerbraten with dumplings, followed by the famous Marzipan Cake. Mmmhhhh😉

We celebrated a birthday in the private room next to the restaurant, so I can’t really speak about the hotel or restaurant itself. The service, food, and drinks were good overall, just not outstanding. The beer was good, but the limited long drink and cocktail variety wasn’t satisfying. 4/5 overall :)
