The bar across the street was unbearably noisy on Friday night, and we didn’t get any peace until 3:30am. Apart from that, we loved the small double room facing the street behind the building. It was newly redone, clean, and laid out really well for such a basic, compact room, with a comfortable table and chairs by huge windows. Almost like having a balcony.

It was very cheap, but the apartments were missing too much. The little kitchen lacked utensils, so cooking was impossible, and without a kitchen fan the smoke alarm went off every minute when we tried. There was no AC in the heat either.

A decent hotel, with a clean and tidy room. We got it for a reasonable rate through booking.com. It’s on a busy main road beside the beautiful river at Cochem.

The bar right outside the window keeps loud music going late. If you need a quiet night's sleep, this isn't the place.
