Kommerzhotel Köln

The service was very good, the room was clean, and being right by the train station made the location handy. It’s obviously noisy from traffic, though. My only complaint was the cleaner vacuuming every morning in our corner room, banging the vacuum against our door and the walls again and again. It was ridiculously loud for about ten minutes early in the day. We understand the cleaning may need to happen then and respect the cleaners, but the way it was done disturbed guests and let the stay down.

The bathroom was leaking, the place felt unclean, and there’s no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs. The front desk staff were very rude and unprofessional. It made for a really unpleasant stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

There’s no elevator, so we had to carry our own suitcases up the stairs. The room was freezing, the heater barely helped, and the towels were paper thin. It was a very uncomfortable stay, and the service was even worse. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

For 530 euros for two nights, I expected more than this room. It was cold, the heater was small, the windows were broken, the water was only lukewarm, and the towels were paper thin. It was loud too. The location might be convenient, but the stay felt like a motel or dorm experience at a slightly higher price. I won’t come back or recommend it.
