The room and bathroom were lovely and spotless, and the breakfast was great, with good cappuccino too. The people were lovely as well. It’s close to the centre and public transport is easy to use, with tickets sold on the trams. Had a great stay, totally recommend it!

The bar has a nice atmosphere, and the place was clean with a practical 24-hour reception. That helps justify the three stars. The rooms are small and noisy on the tram side, and ours was extremely cold when we arrived because the window was open. The little radiator couldn’t warm it up during our first night. Bathrooms are tiny and made of cheap materials, though they were well kept. The translucent door also leaves little privacy when your companion is on the toilet. This might suit young people trying to spend very little, but at 200 euros a night without breakfast, it felt completely unreasonable for a medium-small city like Cologne. It’s okay for a low budget, but not much more.

The tram stop is practically around the corner, and there’s a McDonald's, Subway, and Rewe nearby, so the location is perfect. We booked the Comfort Medium with a double bed and breakfast included. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was the usual German buffet, but the vanilla pudding was exceptionally tasty. I ate four!

Everyone working there was helpful and service-minded, which I rarely find at a hotel, and the service was impeccable. The room was comfortable, the price reasonable, and breakfast was extremely good. One of my favourite hotel experiences in the past couple of years. Highly recommended!
