HK-Hotel Düsseldorf City

Getting around was easy, with bus and train stations nearby, and as a full-time power wheelchair user I found the hotel accessible and our room comfortable. My mom and I had a lovely stay in this beautiful little hotel, and the staff were kind and helpful throughout. We entered through the accessible backyard, though an accessible front entrance without stairs would be a welcome addition. A higher bed with automatic adjustment would also help in the rooms. I’d have liked more breakfast choices, and for it to run until at least 11 a.m. Thanks for a really nice stay!

The worst part was the June heat. With no AC, sleeping was barely possible. A new guest was also given my room card on the last night and walked in while I was asleep at 6 a.m. The place is old and worn, and cleanliness was poor. Breakfast was barely decent, though it was still the best part of the stay. In 2025, a hotel without AC in the middle of global warming should be illegal. Stay away. The university booked the room for me. I wouldn't have chosen this place myself.

The staff were super helpful, and I enjoyed every moment of the stay. I only wish single rooms had a small fridge. I’d highly recommend the hotel.

It's a really quiet area, so paying extra for a garden-side room doesn't seem worthwhile, wherever you're staying. Our room was clean and modern, with big opening doors, a comfortable bed, a great shower, and thick curtains. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. It was very warm, and there’s no air conditioning, so we had to keep the doors open whenever we were in the room. The whole hotel seemed warm, though that would probably be nice in winter. The room and bed were on the small side, but fine for a couple of nights.
