There were roaches in the room, and the bathroom didn’t even have a proper ceiling, just wood planks. Avoid it, avoid it, avoid it!

The public transport connections are great, and there are lots of shops and places to eat nearby. It’s also really close to Henkel if you’re visiting their campus. Most staff were friendly, the service was good, and one receptionist was especially helpful with directions and explaining the public transport. I also had a really nice chat with a girl from the staff. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, though it could have had a bit more variety. The dated interior is the reason I’m not giving five stars. The carpets, furniture, and bathrooms feel stuck in the 2000s and need freshening up. Still, everything was super clean, which pleasantly surprised me, and the rooms were cleaned daily. The maintenance staff are doing their job perfectly.

For one of the cheapest hotels in Düsseldorf, it has the basics and the breakfast was better than I expected. The room was cleaned every day. It’s fairly well located, with direct public transport, about 15 minutes from the main train station and around 20 minutes from the city center on the same line. There’s a Rossmann for personal care products, a pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants, and a very good café nearby. The rooms and hotel look old, though: the carpets are stained and the bathroom has an old look even though it was clean. It’s a reasonable choice if you don’t mind the dated appearance and minimal comfort.

With tram and bus stops right nearby, it’s easy to get to the city center. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is good, but the hotel looks old and basic, and what’s offered is pretty standard. It’s much as it appears, so I’d recommend it for a short stay of one or two nights.
