Stay Boardinghouse Flottbek

I came for a two-week business trip, but this place feels worth a weekend at most for what it costs. The apartment itself and the area are good, yet there are too many annoyances. Noise comes from the bar, restaurant and café downstairs, and from upstairs too, where I can actually hear the neighbor's morning alarm. The apartment smells like a kitchen, probably from fumes coming up from the restaurant, and the Wi-Fi is terrible. It gets quiet only if you shut every window, which is a problem when it's nearly June and the weather is lovely. I'm close to moving out.

There’s a great supermarket nearby, and the Othmarschen S1 metro and a couple of buses on Kalkreuthweg are within walking distance. The apartment sits right over a bakery and a wine bar/cafe that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and stays open late.

The Landhaus flottbek team was kind and understanding when I asked to change rooms, and they made it happen without any issue. The daytime Rezeption was great, and once we settled in, the stay made us forget the trouble we’d had on arrival after flight cancellations and delays. Please make it clearer that the hotel and the boarding address for the stay are separate and about one kilometer apart. If you arrive at night, you need to keep your taxi after collecting the key at the hotel so it can take you to the Appartements.

A really nice neighborhood, and the apartments are well equipped. Worked well for a short stay in Hamburg.
