We stayed in the deluxe family room for two in May 2025 because nothing else was available. It was very roomy, though we had booked a very large room. The bed was comfortable, the room spotless, and the thick curtains and privacy sheers were nice. The location was convenient, and breakfast was decent, with eggs cooked to order. The coffee, though, was terrible. There was no front desk, just code access, and the price was very high. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our two day stay. There was no pen or paper at the desk and nobody around to ask. We also didn’t get the welcoming bottle of water we’d had at all the other places on our two weeks from Berlin to Switzerland by train, even though this was by far the most expensive. Some of the staff at breakfast only spoke German. I don’t expect or rely on English, but it’s a surprising choice for a hotel in such a touristy spot. Nothing was actively bad, and I have nothing to reproach. It just felt like too little for the cost. Maybe the whole very touristy island is similar. I wouldn’t return and would suggest staying inland and visiting the island for a day instead. Train access is easy as can be.

The room was quiet, with no noise from outside or inside, and had a large walk-in shower. Breakfast was decent and enjoyable, with nothing missing. The hotel is right in the middle of the town on the island, with shops and restaurants just around the corner. There’s a parking garage less than a five-minute walk away, though it can be hard to get into when busy, and other parking a little farther away. I’m not sure this is the best base for exploring the surrounding area by car. Check-in was unmanned. We entered with a door code and found the key in the room upstairs. As far as we know, there was no elevator. The room had been set up for two instead of three, but one quick phone call got it sorted soon after, without any fuss.

The Junior suite was perfect for our one-night stay last week. The welcome was warm and professional, and the price-quality ratio was very good. The hotel is well located on the lovely, very small island, just a few steps from the lake shore.

It’s quiet and in a great location. Of the two staff members I spoke with, only one spoke English, and breakfast was just okay. The apartment-style room is well stocked for two, though the kitchen could use something to actually cook on, and it’s missing bowls.
