The rooms are roomy, with a great view over the town and everything you need to feel at home. We stayed for two days and it was absolutely the right choice. The property is well kept, and the indoor pool and sauna are included in the stay. It's a self check-in place, with staff usually around only at breakfast time. It's a bit high up at the edge of town, so walking there is manageable with light luggage. I'll stay here again next time.

The views from half the rooms are among the best I've seen in Europe, and the breakfasts are excellent. This Gasthaus is run extremely well. It's also a fantastic starting point for hikes, with several lakes and a small river gorge reachable on foot, though getting there involves a reasonable uphill walk. Unless you're exceptionally picky, you'll enjoy your stay.

The rooms are neat and pleasant, with a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony looking toward the Karwendel mountain. The hotel is just outside Mittenwald, about a five-minute walk from the center's shops and restaurants.
