We had a very good six-day stay and will definitely come back. The location is convenient for the subway, and the city center is a short walk away. The shower was large and luxurious, and the room was satisfactory in terms of cleanliness. The beds, though, weren’t very comfortable.

The biggest problem was that the air conditioning was disabled, so we had to sleep with the window wide open. All night on 10-31-25, sirens went off every few minutes, making decent sleep impossible. I guess the police and ambulances were busy until 4am. Without that air conditioning issue, I’d have rated this a 5. The self check-in was interesting and fairly easy, though no hotel staff were available. Advanta Stay in Munich is about a five-minute walk from the train station, in a very secure building. The room was super organized, with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, and a refrigerator larger than any I’ve seen in a hotel. The elevator was fast and secure, and needed a coded room key, which made me feel safe. There’s not much of a lobby, but a lovely restaurant is attached and sells food from 6:30 am to about 4. The people at the attached California bean were lovely and served me quickly each morning. I liked being able to get food there at 6:30am.

The only downside was the centrally controlled air conditioning, which I couldn’t adjust from my room. Otherwise, it was a really good experience. The room was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave, both very convenient. Lockers were available after check-out, so I could explore without carrying my bags. I’d definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again.

The location is great, but that’s about it. Since the hotel is self-service, the lack of reception really showed when we ran into room issues or needed information as newcomers to town. Several people struggled with check-in or figuring out the elevator. I’d avoid this kind of hotel in future. The room felt cramped because of its irregular shape, the bed was pretty small, and the blankets were strangely split in half. The note said “everything in the fridge is yours,” but there was only a bottle of water. Passing trains and trams also made quite a bit of noise. The bigger issue was the clogged sink, which kept bringing dirt back up throughout our stay.
