B&B Hotel München City-West

We ended up paying twice for one night, and the way the hotel handled it was appalling. At checkout, the clerk said the card machine hadn't taken our payment, so we used a second machine. Later that day we discovered both charges had gone through. We returned the next day and spoke to the manager, who said he couldn't help and gave us the management email. We wrote shortly before Christmas and got no reply, then sent another email after the holiday and were ignored again. Our credit card company said the hotel wasn't responding. Since the transaction was made at the hotel rather than online, they told us we wouldn't be refunded. I travel a lot and have never had such bad service at a hotel. I'm not going to sue over 58 Euro, but it's a real shame for a chain to behave this way.

They changed the sheets, but that seemed to be all. There were clumps of hair left from the previous guest, and the TV remote, bathroom chrome and shower screens were pretty filthy. It wasn't a bad stay, but those little things put you off.

The hotel was just acceptable, mostly because the service was disastrous. On a regular Saturday, 04.10.2025, I went to reception around 10 am to pay for breakfast, which ended at 10:30. Nobody came for 20 minutes, even though other people were waiting too. They should have had at least two people at reception. I gave up and got breakfast from the bakery in Edeka nearby. Don't expect much from the staff, they just don't seem to care about their work.

The room wasn't clean enough, and the shower glass door was loose, just standing inside the shower when we arrived. It felt dangerous, especially for children. I reported it, but nobody came, so I moved it myself. The hotel is basic, which I expected, but more helpful staff would have made our stay much better.
