We stayed here with my family in 2025. The spacious room was clean and beautifully decorated, the staff were helpful, and for this price I haven't found a better hotel. It's well located, near the city centre and next to a train station. It's also the only place we could find with shops open on a Sunday in Munich. I hesitated because of the reviews, but they were totally unfounded. On weekend nights, you may see some people drinking in the street, but that's it. I went with my two daughters and had no safety issues. If you can tolerate seeing that, it's an absolute five stars.

The rooms were updated and clean, and I couldn't hear anything through the walls. The hotel was a great place to stay, though there is a funky outdoor elevator at the back. I got a day pass and could travel all over the city from the main transit hub right next to the hotel, then head straight back. During check-in and check-out I ran into the owner, who was really friendly and even showed us which spot to use in a nearby garage.

There's no customer desk or room service, and no customer support was provided. You only get a code by email to enter the apartment. The tram tracks are very close and make constant noise, and there are a lot of homeless people hanging around. The AC wasn't switched on even in extreme heat and uncomfortable conditions.

The apartment was nice and close to the train station, but the customer service was terrible. During the heat wave we had no A/C. I messaged the front desk and got a one word answer, no. Only after I said I'd leave a bad review did they explain it couldn't be fixed for two days. They never offered a fan or to move us. I contacted booking.com too, but they didn't do anything either. At $200 a night I expected more. Avoid this place and booking.com.

This place is near major sites, but there are plenty of other options in the same area. The apartment units need better cleaning: the shower grout was yellow and the floors seemed dirty. The elevator is at the back of the building, beside the rear of a restaurant, and smells bad. There was no actual reception staff. We managed to contact someone who seemed to be a manager, but after a long discussion she still maintained it wasn't a studio. The listing claims a one bedroom and shows photos of units with a real bedroom, but we arrived to find a studio: two twin mattresses pushed together and a small pull-out bed about 1.5 feet from the foot of the bed. She acknowledged the photo showing a separate bedroom, then said that was a two bedroom. Before talking to her, I looked up German legal descriptions of property listings and found nothing that supported her position.
