Hotel Europäischer Hof - Adults Only

The street noise was the one real downside. Our room faced the youth hostel across the street, where people talked loudly until the early morning. Still, the room was comfortable enough, and we were only steps from the central station, which made reaching the main sights convenient. My wife and I especially loved how friendly and accommodating the staff were. The woman at reception made our trip more memorable. I only wish there had been a microwave in the room. It was a great first holiday in Germany.

The location made this an easy choice. The train station is across the street, and there are three station entrances close by. Staff at the front desk were very friendly, and the lobby has a water dispenser for filling bottles. Our room was spacious and had plenty of storage, a long desk, two chairs, lots of outlets, a fridge, and a handy place for luggage by the door. Best of all, the mattress was the most comfortable one I had on my whole trip in Germany, firm without being too soft. I’d stay here again next time.

We’d gladly book this hotel again. The room was much better than expected, with plenty of space, a smart layout, and very good cleanliness, and reception service was great. The entrance is on a fairly decent, quiet street, though the surrounding neighborhood is noisy and a bit questionable. That seems to come with being so central. Breakfast at 20€ per person was the only drawback. It’s probably in line with what other hotels nearby charge.

The location by the train station and the price were what drew us here, and the hotel met our needs. In the room, though, I’d have liked air conditioning and enough space and seating for two people to sit somewhere besides the bed.
