Almost no hot water, red stains on the room floor that might have been blood, and one bathroom plus one shower room for every three rooms. Police showed up every morning. The area felt like an Arab ghetto. A total waste.

A damp, cold, dirty hole. That's all it was.
The guesthouse was in a really worn-out state. There was no hot water for showering, but that almost became secondary because the showers looked so unhygienic, with mold, hair and peeling ceiling paint, among other things. It put me off showering altogether. The room was just as run-down, with peeling paint, very dirty mattresses and a filthy carpet.
It was the cheapest hotel we found in Munich, and it was okay. The room was quite old, but clean. The shower and toilet were down the hall.
The rooms were reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly. It's also very central.
