Rosewood Munich

This has been an extremely concerning experience after staying at Rosewood Munich. I stayed on 29 January 2026 and checked out early on 30 January because of an emergency. At check-in, I paid a €3,140 security pre-authorization. The final bill was €2,764, which meant €376 should have been returned. Two weeks later, I contacted the hotel. They said there'd been an error and that the deposit was supposedly released on 12 February. But on 25 February, another €3,140 was charged to my account. The refund still hasn't arrived. I've now paid €6,280 for one night and am still owed €376. I've spent significant money on international calls trying to sort out what should be a straightforward accounting correction. I've contacted the hotel multiple times, and the issue remains unresolved. The way a luxury hotel has handled a serious billing error and duplicate charge has been alarming and financially stressful. I urgently ask Rosewood Munich's management and accounting department to correct the duplicate charge and issue the outstanding refund.

The breakfast really let us down. We expected the lavish buffet common at European hotels, but the choice was meager, the food on offer mediocre at best, and the menu options weren't great either. Overall food quality was fair at best, and that lack of a good breakfast changed how we felt about the stay. We'd still come back. There was plenty we liked: a fantastic location, beautiful interiors, spacious rooms, excellent service, and several dining options. The staff were all friendly and accommodating.

Before we arrived, the team helped arrange a luggage repair and sort out our itinerary and activities for the kids. They answered questions and requests quickly on WhatsApp, and the food was excellent. The service was even better than the beautiful, spacious, comfortable rooms. The finishes and details were among the best we've seen at any Rosewood we've stayed in. We had a great time, and the kids loved the pool and saunas on the lower levels. Definitely check them out!

The spa and pool are just right for winding down after exploring the city, and Marienplatz and other Munich landmarks are only steps away. Rosewood Munich has quickly become one of my top hotels. It's quiet luxury in a building with timeless architecture. The on-site restaurant and bar have a great vibe, and the service is unmatched. Rooms are spacious, with great layouts.
