Sofitel Munich Bayerpost

There are some great books in the cafe and in the room if you're in the mood to read. The sauna and steam room were superb and really relaxing, and breakfast had a fantastic spread. Service was attentive without feeling overly posh. The Bayerpost Hotel is conveniently close to the train spot, making it easy to get around during your stay. I'd recommend the hotel Sofitel in Munich if you can. Keep up the great work, and please congratulate the staff. They really make a place stand out. Happy travels.

The early train to Paris was no trouble at all. Staff handled checkout quickly and got us to the platform without stress or delay, and the hotel is right by Munich Central Station, which made rail travel easy. During our two nights over the festive season, we also got an upgrade three categories above what we booked. The room was ready as I’d told them in advance, and we found fresh fruit, gingerbread, and Christmas greetings waiting. The decorations were lovely, especially the Christmas train display. Our room was spacious, and housekeeping was prompt and thorough. As someone who travels internationally often, I value that mix of comfort and efficiency. The staff seemed to understand what travelers need, and the service was seamless. A top choice in Munich if you’re taking the train.

Breakfast was a highlight of our two-night stay at the end of a long Europe trip. There was fresh coffee, fruit and pastries, plus eggs and omelettes made to order. One of the best breakfasts we had on the trip. The spa is worth a look too, with a full range of services and one of the coolest pools I’ve seen. Our modern room had a huge bathtub and a Bluetooth stereo we could connect our own devices to. The front desk was helpful and let us into the room early, giving us extra time to explore. The hotel sits right next to Munich’s main station, so arriving by train was very easy. Construction work is going on around the station at the moment, which isn’t the hotel’s fault, but getting there was still straightforward.

The staff are always pleasant and professional, and the hotel is right outside the train station. But the beds are awful. I’ve stayed here many nights in different rooms, and every bed felt worn out and badly misshapen, with a hollow on each side and a hump in the middle. The dip was deepest on the side nearest the bathroom. Some rooms also have bathrooms so tiny there’s no space even for a shaving kit. Room quality is hit or miss.
