After walking the local trails, we stopped for dinner at 5 PM. The schnitzel and steak were tender, tasty, and nicely prepared. We waited around 20-30 minutes for the food, and it was well worth it.

One of the suggested hiking routes goes right past the hotel, which was handy. The rooms were tidy, clean, and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the restaurant food and service were. The wine was a bonus too. The proprietor grows grapes in his own vineyard and makes a fine range of wines on site. All in all, a first-class stay.

We were delighted by this family-run hotel up in the hills, looking out over the medieval fortress town of Oberwessel, Germany. The people were friendly, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was nice. A really pleasant surprise.

The staff were friendly, and the location was great. The homemade food and wine were the best I've tried in Germany. The kitchen closes at 20:30, so keep that in mind. I'll be back.

It's a bit out of the way, so having a car or similar is useful. Still, the people were really friendly and the views were superb. A very nice place to stay.
