Relais & Châteaux Gut Steinbach Hotel und Chalets

The five of us, across several generations, had a really lovely stay. We were impressed by the food, decor, service, and location, and the quality made the price feel like good value. We'd be happy to come back.

We came away feeling rested, and I'd gladly return to Gut Steinbach. It's such a peaceful, special place, with delicious food and staff whose hospitality was incredible.

The room and bathroom were spotless, and everyone on staff was friendly. The indoor pool was perfect, and breakfast was great too. A lovely staycation spot.

The chalet had two bedrooms and bathrooms, a spacious living room with a cozy fireplace, a kitchen, and a terrace. We stayed there for a November weekend with my wife and another couple we're close friends with. The evening meal was fantastic. Every course had thoughtful flavors and presentation, and I couldn't find anything to fault. Breakfast had a good range of Bavarian dishes, with a buffet plus hot à la carte options at no extra cost, from Weißwurst and pretzels to eggs with sausages or bacon. One morning we had it brought to the chalet, and the delivery and presentation made it feel like a real treat. We also made good use of the spa and sauna, which had excellent facilities. The place itself is beautiful, set among traditional Bavarian Alpine chalets and mountains, with deer and other animal enclosures adding to its charm. Looking forward to another visit soon.
