Apēron Apartment Hotel

The location is excellent if you want to stay in the city center near Nyhavn. It was clean, and check-in and checkout both went smoothly. Still, it felt like poor value. The apartment smelled damp or moldy, the windows were dirty enough that we couldn’t really enjoy the weather, and the furnishings felt basic and worn. There’s no elevator, which is tough if you’re on the third floor. The flats also looked much larger in the photos than they were in person.

The apartment was quiet and clean, with restaurants and shopping close by and the shopping districts right outside. Tivoli Gardens is maybe a 15-20 minute walk. It felt safe, and the electric locks made check-in easy. The rooftop terrace is lovely at night, and the secure luggage storage was convenient. Great location and a comfortable stay.

The apartments have efficient self check-in, and the central location is handy. They keep luggage until 11pm, and if a room is free, they let you check in automatically from 10am and check out at 1pm. That flexibility is really nice.

It’s a basic, perfectly okay apartment, a bit like a UK Premier Inn, with the essentials but no extras. I’m writing in detail because the ratings are excellent and I want people to know what to expect, not to disparage the place. There’s no housekeeping unless you stay eight nights or pay extra, and no reception or lobby. You can text them, and they’ll probably help if housekeeping staff are around. Guest services were friendly and helpful when I did reach them. The bed was acceptable but not very comfortable, and there was no sound protection. I heard noise at all hours, especially dumpsters for the neighboring building right outside my ground-floor window, as well as other guests, screaming kids, and music. I don’t expect silence in a city, but rugs might help. Free laundry was a nice perk, though the old dryers took three hours to dry a small load. Chairs to sit on and places to hang laundry would help, and the room needs more surfaces, like a shower shelf. They accommodated an early check-in, stored my luggage down the basement stairs until then, and offered a generous 1pm checkout. It met my basic needs and wasn’t awful, but I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it.
