The Wi-Fi was practically unusable throughout my stay. What upset me most, though, was the laundry situation. When I checked in one evening, I asked about laundry service and was told there wasn’t one. The next day, just as I was about to take my clothes to a local laundry shop, the staff changed their answer and offered to handle it. They returned the laundry and charged me 4000 Dinars without telling me the price beforehand. In Algiers, a standard service is around 700 Dinars for seven kilos, so this seemed excessive. My local guide also thought the charge was ridiculous and tried to argue on my behalf. I don’t know which service they used, but the cost didn’t make sense. At reception, I was told they had given the clothes to a guy, and the staff member refused to name the service. It felt misleading and unprofessional. When I paid the 4000 Dinars, they just threw the notes on the table and didn’t even pick them up. That’s a poor attitude for people working in tourism. I’d been having a good time until this happened, and it’s sad that one person can damage a country’s reputation so easily. My guide had said Algerians are kind, wouldn’t scam you, and that everything was inexpensive. After this, that felt ironic.

The reception was nice, but the restaurant and café staff were rude and unwelcoming. The service there was horrible, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s new, clean, and quiet, with great sound insulation. The location is good, and the restaurant balcony has a panoramic view.

I brought a group of tourists, and the hotel manager made things much easier for us as a company. They even went beyond expectations by arranging laundry, even though the hotel doesn’t offer that service. They collected our guests’ laundry bags, took care of it, and brought the clothes back. They seem to have been misunderstood over the price, which they don’t control. For some guests, they also gave us suites at the standard room price so we could complete the reservation. I wanted to clarify what happened. The hotel is a diamond in Algiers, honestly. From the rooms and breakfast to the staff and service, everything was in its place. I hope to see it flourish more.
