The suite was spacious, but the WiFi in my room didn't work. Cell service is spotty here, so having WiFi matters. The front desk staff didn't help resolve the problem and seemed disdainful when I had to contact them multiple times. There were no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms either. The lack of working WiFi, with no consolation offered, really hurt the experience.

Getting there by taxi over the water was a fun experience in itself. The pool was lovely, and the showers were nice, with hot water coming through quickly. The staff were really helpful. It was very quiet while I was there, maybe because people don't feel like making the trip across the water. Still, I thought the hotel was really nice.

The included breakfast was nice, but the rest of our stay was disappointing. The air conditioning didn't work for two nights, and when we were finally moved, the toilet in the new room had to be flushed with a bucket of water. At checkout they gave us no credit and charged us for the few beers we'd had. The place has potential, but it needs a total renovation.

The wait staff were friendly, though it seemed to be a mother and her daughters rather than professional staff. I didn't see anyone else who looked like a guest. From far away the pool looked appealing, but up close it was cloudy and foamy. No judgment, it was just different from what I expected.
