We spent Christmas here and had a lovely dinner. Local families as well as hotel guests come in regularly to eat from the menu, and the dining area feels comfortable. The team made us feel personally welcomed, almost like family. The hotel is a beautifully restored place in central Riobamba, with tasteful decor throughout. Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable. City noise carries during the day, but nights were quiet. Downstairs there’s a spa with a jacuzzi, steam bath, sauna, showers, and a professional massage therapist.

After the Chimborazo glacier tour, this was exactly what I needed. Paul from Ecuador Adventures Tour had recommended it, and I was glad I came. They greeted me with tea, and the renovated interior was beautiful, clean, and relaxing. The staff were attentive and friendly, and I loved the massage. A wonderful experience at Mansión Santa Isabella.

The staff were friendly, and the room was cozy and comfortable, though the floor is uneven and could use some work. It’s fine for spending the night. Service could improve. For the price, I’d give it 6 out of 10 👌

We had chicken pasta and chicken with chips for lunch, and both were lovely. The atmosphere was beautiful, and our waitress was so nice. The executive chef came over to our table too and was lovely.

The food was exquisite. Today’s four-course Mexican menu, which changes daily, came with a fruit and herb infused drink and cost less than $10. Edwin gave us great service. It’s a beautiful old colonial house that’s been renovated with modern touches, and the owner manages what I think is the best boutique hotel in town.
