Horus House Hotel Zamalek

The restaurant food was very good, the servers were nice, and breakfast was generous and good too. Staff throughout the hotel were excellent: polite, friendly, helpful, and caring. It’s in a lively neighborhood that’s easy to explore on foot and well connected. Rooms are generally very good, especially the higher tier ones. Some guests occasionally ignore the no-smoking policy, which isn't unusual in Egypt. The price felt fair for what you get. I’d recommend it mainly to solo travelers or couples without kids on an average budget.

I only tend to review a hotel if it’s spectacular or really bad, and this place was spectacular. The two men at the front desk who’ve been helping since I arrived are among the nicest and most efficient people. My room was huge, airy, bright with lots of windows, and clean. The hotel is also one of the cleanest, most accommodating, and best located places I’ve stayed, with amazing staff. I’ll stay here whenever I’m in Cairo.

The workers were so nice, the prices really cheap, and the location perfect, right in the middle of Zamalek. There are lots of restaurants down the street, and the metro station is five minutes away. Don’t be afraid to try shawarma. It’s an old-fashioned hotel that feels like a time machine. Rooms numbered 100 have been renewed, while the others are dated. There are indoor smoking areas. I’m ready to come back.

The rates are good, and you get real value for your money. It’s close enough to the city centre while sitting on a nice, quiet street in Zamalek. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and attentive. My experience here has been more than positive. I highly recommend it 👌.
