Hotel Leuka

The central location is the main plus, and the train station is about a 10-minute walk away. There are two working elevators, and onsite paid parking, though you might get lucky with street parking. The room keychain is bulky, so you may want to leave it at reception when you go out. The room felt dated and poorly maintained. There was soap buildup on the bathtub, the silicone around the bidet had come away, the shower heads weren't solidly fixed, and there was no outlet by the night table, only behind the TV. Noise carries too: people in the hallway, doors opening and closing, and conversations made it hard to get a quiet night's sleep.

The location was good, but the hotel feels dated and neglected. The night staff were moody, especially the young woman, while the daytime staff were better. Our balcony door wouldn't lock, which made us feel unsafe, and at one point the bathroom door wouldn't open. We won't return.

For a budget hotel, the location is very good: it's on a slightly quieter street, close to local amenities and the tram. The Marina is around a 10-minute walk, or perhaps 13-15 minutes if you're taking it slowly. It's dated, and there aren't the amenities you'd want if you planned to spend lots of time at the hotel. But if what you need is a comfortable bed and a clean place to stay, it's a reasonable choice at this price. I'd give it four stars. Some other reviews surprise me, as their expectations may not match what they paid for.

The location by the train station and tram made getting around so convenient. Staff were helpful whenever I needed anything, and the breakfast add-on was inexpensive. A lovely stay and great value for the price.
