The room had nice furniture, but the floors weren't clean and I had to wash them myself. There were also spots on the bedsheets. At 1750€ per night for one person, it felt far too expensive for this experience. I was running late for the airport and asked reception to call a taxi because I couldn't get Uber for some reason. Instead of helping quickly, the receptionist laughed with a client for a long time about my question. He only called a taxi after 20 minutes, then said there was no faster option and I should manage it myself. He went on discussing me rudely with the client and proudly called himself a chauvinist. I sorted out the airport ride on my own and got there, but that was no way to speak to a guest.

We were there for my sister's birthday, and finding complimentary chocolates and a bottle of Prosecco in the room was a lovely surprise. The rooftop terrace was a real highlight, with incredible city views. The service during our short visit was fantastic, and everyone was so friendly. There's free coffee from a machine and a water station, too. The hotel is in a perfect spot, very close to the aerobus stop. I loved staying here and would return in a second.

The view from our ninth-floor room was stunning, stretching from the cathedral and Montjuïc Castle all the way to the sea. We enjoyed a similar outlook from the lovely roof garden. The staff were polite and ready to help, and arranged both our early check-in and our request for a higher-floor room. Since stays under six days don't include room cleaning, we could still ask for fresh towels every day. The place felt practical, modern, pleasant, and safe, and let me feel at home and go about my day that way. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, with everything we needed and a handy little kitchen. The location was just right too, near a metro station, in the middle of the shopping area, and a short walk from the Gothic Quarter. Everything was exactly what we needed. This is the kind of accommodation I prefer now. I'd choose it again on my next trip and already recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona.

There's no bar at the hotel, but the free rooftop terrace is great, and you can bring vermut and snacks up with you. It's only 300m from mercat la boqueria, with great food, and there are tapas bars everywhere, so lots to choose from. The hotel itself is amazing and well positioned, right in the center and about a 20-minute walk from the water. Just be aware there's major work going on at la rambla. It's hectic, and taxis don't like going there.
