Hotel Lloret Ramblas

Jack at reception deserves a special thanks. He was kind, attentive, professional, and ready to help with information or any requests. His care really added to our visit. We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Lloret Ramblas. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Being right on Las Ramblas made it easy to explore Barcelona on foot. We’d recommend it and would gladly return.

The location was the one real plus: we were close to Plaça de Catalunya, La Boqueria Market, and the Gothic Quarter, so getting around to the main sights was easy. We also had a balcony overlooking La Rambla, though construction nearby, which wasn’t the hotel’s fault, took away from enjoying it. The room setup was a major disappointment. We booked Hotel Lloret Ramblas more than six months ahead and said we were a couple. I even emailed to make sure it would be prepared properly, but we arrived to two separate twin beds, one with a broken headboard. After we complained, a kind, professional maintenance worker fixed the headboard and pushed the beds together with zip ties. We appreciated his effort, but that felt improvised and wasn’t an acceptable solution for paying guests. Between the wrong setup, broken furniture, and inadequate fix, the stay fell below even basic expectations. We can’t recommend the hotel and wouldn’t stay again.

The rooms are on the small side, but the hotel’s location is fantastic and very central. The staff were really nice and helpful. Special thanks to Jack, who was accommodating and answered our questions, which was a big help for us as tourists.

The location is easily the best part: 10/10. It’s close to the metro, buses, restaurants, and everything else you need in Barcelona. Breakfast was good too, around 7/10. I stayed three nights in a double room overlooking La Rambla. The hotel feels a bit dated, and the room was quite tight with a baby. I emailed twice, two weeks before arrival and again the day before check-in, to ask for a baby crib and a king bed. I never got a reply, though the receptionist knew about the request when I arrived and had put the crib in the room, which I appreciated. The bed arrangement was disappointing: I was told only twin beds were available and they could be pushed together. I expected them to be set up already, but they were still apart. I had to move the table and join them myself, and there was a gap that made sleeping uncomfortable. For a couple traveling with a baby, I think the hotel should have prepared this. I also found a blood stain on the bedsheet. I asked the next morning for fresh sheets, and the staff changed them. The hotel was difficult to spot because there were no clear signs outside. I walked past it, and the only LED sign was off and not working. To me, the entrance shapes a guest’s first impression and says a lot about the experience. I’d give the hotel 3 stars. The staff helped when asked, but the lack of communication before arrival, uncomfortable bed setup, cleanliness issue, and poor signage made the stay disappointing.
