The location is more than perfect, and the helpful, kind staff made me very happy with my stay. I found everything I was looking for at a good enough level, and if I return to Barcelona, I’ll stay here again without looking anywhere else. The hostel felt very safe. I stayed in a four-bed women’s dorm, and people from outside couldn’t enter. There are security cameras, guests aren’t allowed, and you have to ring the bell to get in. That works well for me, though it won’t suit anyone looking for parties or people coming and going freely. I’d researched hostels for safety, a secure and preferably central location, clean and adequate showers and toilets, and a reasonable price. The lockers were smaller than I expected, though, and my 77 cm suitcase wouldn’t fit. I left it outside and put my belongings in the locker, like everyone else. You’ll need a large lock. There are two toilets and three showers. Each shower has a private area where you can hang your things and get dressed, which I appreciated because some hostels only have a shower and a shared space. It was low season and not many people were staying, so I never had to wait. The toilets and showers were always clean. There was sometimes a smell that I think came from the building’s infrastructure, but it didn’t bother me much. There are two hair dryers, and toilet paper was always available. I was happy to see that even the room curtains had been washed. Breakfast is free in the morning, with croissants, pain au lait, bread, jam, milk, margarine, and cake. I hope this detailed review helps others looking for a place.
