The service didn't feel friendly or welcoming. The bathroom door was difficult to open and shut, and in the very cold weather they only put the heat on for a short while. Not the best, not the worst.

The facilities are basic, but if you just need a bed while exploring the region, this hotel is ideal. Breakfast was simple and good quality. I can't see why it's rated one star, and I've stayed in much worse places with more stars. The entrance is down an alley at the back, though the welcome is still very warm. I'd recommend it any day.

It's clean, spacious, and in good repair, so it deserves a high rating for a one-star hotel. There's a microwave in a shared area near the restaurant, and a grocery store downstairs.
