Slow Suites Chueca

We paid for a stay for six at Slow Suites Chueca in Madrid from July 2-4, 2026, including our family and two five-year-olds. We were told the place was safe and suitable for families, but no one had warned us that our dates fell during the peak of the LGBT Pride March and celebrations. Police barricades and closed roads left us struggling for hours to get to the building with our luggage and children. When we finally arrived, there was nobody there to greet us, and repeated calls and emails brought no useful help. We couldn’t get our children to a safe place to stay that night, which was physically and psychologically distressing. The crowds, security risks, and uncontrolled surroundings also affected the children badly. We felt victimized, and our safety was not assured. We couldn’t use the accommodation we had paid for, and our time, money, holiday plans, and emotional well-being were all badly affected. The establishment failed to provide the stay or the support we needed, and we received no help about getting a refund.
