The room needs updating and general maintenance. Some lights didn't work, though it was clean enough. The Nespresso machine was nice, and we got bottled water each day and a cute basket with beach towels. We paid extra for a Junior Suite Sea View, expecting a spacious room and an actual sea view, but it was about the same size as most rooms. A huge palm tree stood directly in front of our balcony, so we couldn't see the sea directly. We asked for a higher floor and were told none were available. The neighboring rooms might have had an even worse view, with a wall of leaves. I was looking forward to sitting with a glass of wine and watching the sea, so that was disappointing. We might stay again for the location, but would make sure we knew what room to expect. The location itself was delightful: right by a very sandy beach and a large cala, with a nice pool overlooking the water and a small palapa for service. The pool wasn't crowded and there were usually chairs available. It was also an easy walk to the main road, with lots of restaurants and bars open late. Hotel service was okay but not especially friendly or informative. We arrived late at night and already knew to put the key card in the slot to turn on the lights; otherwise we'd have been in the dark. The daytime staff were friendlier and called a cab for us. The restaurants were convenient and the food pretty good, though pricey. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

All my experiences here have been positive except for my arrival. The security guard yelled at my friends and me even though we were speaking quietly, stared us down, and kept it up for nearly ten minutes. If we'd been disrespectful, I would have understood and even supported that response, but we weren't at all. I've never been treated that way at a hotel. It was a very surprising and unwelcoming way to treat guests.

The restaurant is the one thing I probably wouldn't recommend. The atmosphere and service were lovely, but the food wasn't great. Still, you can't have everything. Our short stay was absolutely amazing. The room was lovely, completely clean, and had a beautiful ocean-facing balcony. The stereo was excellent and easy to connect to with Bluetooth, and the beach was literally a minute's walk away. Good vibes all around. When we arrived, the beds were two separate twins. We asked if they could make a Queen size bed, and within minutes the technicians joined them; then a housekeeper changed the topper to make one complete Queen. The reception ladies were lovely too and let us check out an hour late for free. Valentina at the bar was such a sweetheart. We'd definitely come back.

Masai restaurant was a highlight, with divine food and impeccable service. Marcos behind the bar was such a great barman and really made our holiday. The cocktails were incredible too. The adults-only setup gave the hotel a lovely relaxed feel, and the staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was incredible, and there’s beach access. They also have a fantastic sunbed system that stops people hogging them like at other hotels.

We had such a good time here with my mum and dad, who isn’t very mobile. They gave him a room close to the elevator, and the staff were kind and helpful. The sea-facing balcony meant we could hear the ocean at night. I loved that the sunbeds looked out over the beach, so you could see it without sitting on the sand. The poolside drinks were lovely, and there were lots of restaurants nearby, plus the hotel restaurant was nice too. The rooms are a bit dated and there’s no door to the bathroom, but we hardly spent any time in the room.
