Summum Boutique Hotel, member of Meliá Collection

The private spa was a real highlight: a spotless, well-kept treatment area with a sauna and jacuzzi, all to yourself for an hour. The rooftop pool is small, so it may be more enjoyable in warmer weather. Summum Boutique Hotel is right in the centre, making it easy to explore Palma on foot. The team made the stay feel personal from the start. Bianca, Lorena and Pedro were warm, genuine and professional, and the phone description before arrival was accurate and straightforward. Bianca and Lorena greeted me at the entrance; Lorena took my luggage up while Bianca handled check-in smoothly. As a Melia Platinum member, I received a generous upgrade to a Junior Suite with a breathtaking ceiling fresco, plus a welcome glass of cava. There was a Summum-branded straw hat, a small praline, water and a handwritten card waiting in the room. Such a thoughtful touch, and I even wore the hat out that evening. The dinner recommendation was just as well judged: BarBar nearby was fun, authentic, delicious and reasonably priced. I told them Summum had sent me. Breakfast was a standout too. Bianca managed the front office and breakfast service impressively, and the spread exceeded expectations. There was an extensive buffet and a full à-la-carte egg menu, including eggs Benedict with salmon instead of ham, and chili or Tabasco if you wanted it. For a boutique hotel with only 18 rooms, the choice and quality were excellent. On departure day, Pedro kindly checked whether my room keys were still working, and Bianca arranged a late checkout until 2 pm, which I appreciated. Someone was always available and attentive throughout. The staff speak excellent English, and some also speak German and even Romanian. A beautifully restored historic palace, with an ultra-central location and very personal, high-standard service. Highly recommended for Palma.

We went to Summum for my girlfriend's birthday last week, and already miss it. The junior suite was a delight, and the hotel is beautiful and conveniently located. The staff were kind and went out of their way to make the trip special. Bianca was a huge help on our first day and got us off to a great start. The photos don't do the place justice. Best hotel I've stayed in, and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Mallorca.

The staff are what made our stay so special, with lots of lovely little extras along the way. We loved breakfast on the terrace each morning, and the hotel itself is full of history, beautifully renovated with many original features. Great location, too. We're already planning to come back.

The team's warmth made the five-star service feel effortless, and you can tell they really care about each guest's experience. Alicia went out of her way to make our stay memorable. Fantastic hotel, and I can't wait to return.
