We came for May half term with our daughter, now six, for the third time. We'd said we'd try somewhere else in 2027 because we love Majorca and felt we ought to see other parts of the island. Within 48 hours of arriving, we'd booked Vista Badia for 2027. That probably says it all. It's a relatively small hotel, so even when busy it doesn't feel horrendous, and it has everything we need. The reception, restaurant and downstairs bar have been refurbished over the past year and look even better. We've always eaten at the buffet and the à la carte restaurant here, and both have been great every time. The buffet food is replenished quickly, bar service is fast, and any problems get sorted promptly. On one visit, I reported an air-conditioning issue at reception and an engineer was already working in our ceiling by the time I got back. In four trips, we've never met a grumpy staff member. We usually book a one-bedroom apartment, so my husband and I have a proper bedroom and our little miss sleeps on one of the two sofas in the living room. All the beds have been comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and there's a fridge, hairdryer, kettle with sundries, and microwave if needed. The blackout curtains are very good. The decor hasn't changed since our first visit, but it hasn't seemed worn or dated. Maybe the rooms will be next after the lobby update. There's a main pool with different depths and a bubble-jet thing at one end for kids, plus a baby splash pool in a shady corner and a small playground. Tennis courts, archery and a driving range are a few minutes' walk away. La Reserva water park is nearby, about €15 per adult for the day, with food and drink included, and it's open 10:30-18:00. Across the road, mini golf is free for all-inclusive guests, and there's a kids' area with trampolines, a playground and a splash park. It's ace. The kids' disco starts at 20:30 every night, followed by a show at 21:15. We've seen a magician, acrobats, flamenco, live music and singers. The shows don't run all night and aren't ear-splittingly loud, which is a welcome change from some other places. This was the first year our shy daughter wanted to go to the kids' club, and the staff were excellent with her. One day we barely saw her. I think the hours have been extended: 10:30-14:00 and then 15:00-18:00. We usually picked her up around 16:00 for a last swim before dinner. On our final day she left her sunglasses there, and we only noticed after it had closed. I asked Elisa for help after the mini disco, and she quickly found the keys and retrieved them. We were leaving early next morning, before the club reopened, so otherwise they'd have been left behind. And the lovely beach is only about a five-minute walk away.

For the price, it's a very good deal, and we left with more positives than negatives. Our one-bedroom accommodation gave us plenty of space. The staff were friendly, and the location is handy for two beaches, woods and a nearby Carrefour. There's a kids' dance or magic show every night, usually live music for adults as well, and the zoo isn't far away. A free pickup bus runs near the hotel Monday to Friday. We also appreciated the free bikes and access to the Protur farm, which has a good variety of animals. The buffet has plenty of variety, especially salads. There's fish cooked on the plancha each day, plus steaks and chicken at a separate station, occasional themed buffets, and a varied breakfast with everything you'd expect. With all the children, toddlers and babies around, you don't feel judged when your own kids are having a moment. Parents know what I mean. If you're picky about food, though, the instant coffee, tea and fruit juice may disappoint. Luckily I brought my own tea. The hot food isn't very elaborate and seems aimed at kids, with fries, fish fingers, pasta and some cooked vegetables; the plancha and salad are the better options, though not amazing. Desserts are too sweet, so I stuck with fruit. Afternoon cakes and coffee are available, but don't expect quality. The indoor pool is tiny, about 2x4m, and the gym is tiny too. I never understood why pool towels can only be changed in the afternoons. We hated that tap water isn't drinkable. The hotel has filtered-water dispensers, but only two for the whole resort, and the water still tasted a bit hard. So you have to buy bottled water at Carrefour or nearby shops. TUI offers excursions, but they're too expensive. A day trip to an aquarium was €50 per person, which is too much. The Protur complex has lots to do, including a car hire company, and you can take a boat trip from Sa Coma beach with two companies to choose from. You won't get bored. We liked Majorca and felt safe there. It's a good family holiday option, and we'll come back, whether to this resort or another.

I expected pretty basic food because we were all inclusive, but I was so wrong. The selection was huge and everything tasted amazing. The staff's service was five-star, and our room was clean and spacious. We loved the whole holiday; the hotel was incredible.

The beach is a lovely one, at most five minutes away, with shops nearby. Around the pool there's plenty to do, the kids' club is worth recommending, and lunch food by the pool is good. There are unlimited ice creams in the pool area. The pool gets quite deep for young children outside the water-pillow area, reaching 1.7m at its deepest. The hotel is very clean, the staff friendly, and the food is good. The restaurants are a nice way to change up dinner. Some evenings the entertainment was strange and below par, though other nights were better. All-inclusive cocktails are a very limited selection, but the general drinks range is good, and Estrella is the main tap beer. We'd recommend staying here and would return.

Our daughter loved chatting with the buffet waiters, who were so friendly. The food was delicious and there was so much to choose from that I had something different each day. We had an amazing stay at Vista Badia, and it was sad to leave. Highly recommend it.
