NH Valencia Las Artes

I’m a GHA Titanium member, and at check-in I specifically asked whether my room had been upgraded. The front desk clearly said it had, but once I saw the room, it was obviously the same as the one I’d booked. My stay was only two nights, so I decided not to go back downstairs, but I was disappointed. I would have understood if they’d simply told me there wasn’t an upgrade available. Saying that an upgrade had been made when it hadn’t undermines my trust in the service and in the value of membership benefits. I hope the hotel improves how the front desk communicates and handles member benefits.

For the price, I guess the room was fine. I was there in January, so I understand why the AC’s cool mode was switched off, but it was only set to heat and the room stayed at a balmy 24°C with no way to lower it. I ended up sleeping with the window open to let the cooler air in.

I arranged a multi-day business event at NH Las Artes Hotel, and the hotel team supported it really well. The conference facilities were comfortable and high quality, and the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant served delicious food with plenty of variety, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel felt warm and comfortable. There’s a lovely green courtyard behind the hotel, and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. It’s also ideally located close to the City of Arts and Sciences. I highly recommend it for conferences and corporate events.

The location is great, close to Valencia’s famous museums, but we won’t stay here again. We booked the "Arts" museum hotel, which is supposed to be better than the sister "Sciences" hotel next door, but I felt as though we’d picked the wrong one. The bathrooms were old, and there was no coffee or tea in the rooms. When we asked for coffee, staff brought capsules but no machine. We later found a machine on the ground floor, but staff shooed us away from it.
