Hotel Ogalia

The staff really impressed me the morning after the power went out in the middle of the night. I expected there’d be no breakfast, but was delighted to find breakfast and coffee downstairs. They were clearly doing everything they could to give us a good start to the day, and many of us were walking the Camino. I’ve never seen staff provide such hospitable care, especially when things were outside their control. My door also had trouble locking, and they were very helpful with that. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the amazing team there on June 10, 2025!

We stayed here while doing our Camino. It’s a nice, clean hotel, and the staff were attentive and spoke English well. Breakfast was good and plentiful. One thing I didn’t like was needing the key card for the electricity. The room was uncomfortably warm when we arrived, and it took hours for the temperature to become bearable.

Finding a place to park nearby can be an adventure, but the hotel offers a discount at a parking garage close by. The reception staff are very friendly, the rooms are tidy, and they’re happy to serve you a good beer in the evening after a stressful day. This is a hotel I’d always like to return to.

The hotel is dated, but that wasn’t a major drawback, especially at this price. It’s centrally located, and the customer service is outstanding enough to make me want to return. Highly recommended.
