The staff were kind and helpful, and I really like the hotel's atmosphere and character. I've stayed twice, and the location has been a big part of the appeal both times.

We first stayed here nearly four years ago and recently came back. The place has been redecorated in parts, and there's now a sauna too. It's still in a lovely, quiet spot that's very central in Paris. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and have everything you'd want. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We're already looking forward to coming back in December. I almost hesitated to write this because I'd love for it to stay a hidden gem.

Update: After I posted my original review, Director Alexandre Mahieu sat down with my wife and me to discuss our concerns. He was professional and very apologetic. His explanation of the plumbing problem was reasonable, and he also agreed that the other issue came down to staff training and addressed it. We're very pleased with how he handled everything, so I'm revising my rating of the room and service. Original review: My wife and I came to Paris to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary after a friend recommended this hotel. On October 11, 2025, the second day of our stay, there was no hot water in either the sink or shower. A front desk employee checked and confirmed it. Another employee told us to run the shower's hot water and then the sink, but we had timed, nonrefundable tour tickets and needed to leave, so we couldn't bathe. That wasn't acceptable. Another guest had the same problem and was moved to a different room. Then on October 14, 2025, while my wife and I were in an intimate moment, someone knocked and opened our door straight away before we could answer. It was extremely embarrassing. After that we kept the do not disturb sign on the door. When we told the front desk, the employee suggested someone was probably replenishing the water and offered champagne. We felt insulted and turned it down. We were in room #52.

I used to love this hotel, but my latest stay has put me off returning. The location worked for me since I needed to be near the Grand Palais. The rooms were fine, though looking out at a stairwell instead of Paris rooftops felt very claustrophobic. I could overlook that before, but this time the service was poor too. The cleaners left the dirty cups and didn't replace the robes, and the desk couldn't suggest any neighborhood restaurants. The worst part was having no hot water one day, which meant I couldn't shower before an important business meeting. Between the service and the lack of charm, I sadly don't see myself staying again.
