Hotel Des Nations Saint Germain

We booked three nights and left after just one. The room was absurdly small, with nowhere to put our luggage and so little floor space that we couldn't pass each other. The bathroom was also tiny. The toilet was wedged between the bath and wall, making it impossible to sit on, and it was cracked in several places. The carpets were stained and dirty. There was mould throughout the bathroom and on the walls and around the windows in both rooms. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. It felt like a risk to our health.

The balcony view was amazing, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is very handy, with Metro stations about a two-minute walk away, a supermarket nearby, and lots of restaurants and bakeries close by. The staff were very friendly. The carpet had a lot of stains and could have been cleaner, and the shower was so tiny I could hardly move around in it.

The Latin Quarter was a highlight of our Paris trip. We loved wandering its lively, cute streets, especially in the evenings, and there are lots of restaurants around. The service at the hotel was excellent. Our room was cosy and small, with a little balcony overlooking the street. The shower was very small too, with just enough room for one person if you manoeuvred carefully.

The bedroom carpet was the one real drawback. It showed some wear and seemed harder to keep clean, so it could look a bit untidy. The rooms are also small, especially when you're travelling with family and several suitcases. Still, the staff quickly found us a larger room for our first night, and it was perfect. We appreciated their flexibility, since spacious rooms are hard to come by in Paris. The service was outstanding from arrival to departure, and the location is perfect. Those are why I'd highly recommend the hotel for a short or longer stay.
