We had no complaints about the stay itself, and it cost about half as much as hotels. The AC worked well, and four adults could shower without running out of hot water. Figuring out the water took a while because it needed very precise adjustment. The heater seemed tiny, maybe around five gallons, so the water has to get extremely hot to last. Our window looked onto a tiny courtyard, with neighbors about ten feet away. The rooms were small by American standards, but quaint and practical. The kitchen was modest, and the bathroom was small. We were there for a short Paris trip, and the location was great for walking to most major attractions, with lots of food and drink options along the way. Driving and parking were terrible. To get in, make sure you have some kind of cell service so you can contact the vendor, especially if you arrive after hours. There seemed to be an attendant around for much of the weekdays. I remember seeing him at about 2200.
The one thing we appreciated was the free laundry in the basement. The rest felt like a cheap remodel, especially the bathroom. The toilet took about ten seconds to flush each time, and the raised shower leaked because its door wouldn’t close all the way. Using the shower was confusing too. The water sometimes got insanely hot, and it was hard to find a comfortable setting between hot and cold.
We stayed with our family of four, kids aged 7 and 9, over a long weekend and loved having this as our base. The rooms were renovated around mid to late 2023, as of when I’m writing, with lovely modern decor. Everything was very clean. It’s in a charming neighborhood near Marais, and I’d definitely recommend it.
They put me in a ground-floor apartment that isn’t even shown in the photos. It was a filthy apartment building, and the place was so dark that you had to turn on the lights to see if it was bright. When I mentioned it, they said, “Oh, how embarrassing,” but then told me no other apartments were available. The apartment was incredibly cramped and completely unsuitable for a family of four. There wasn’t even space for a coat or bag, and we couldn’t open the window for fresh air. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Even one star feels too generous.
The service was good, and the apartment had nice decor and felt cozy. Ours had heating, one bedroom, an open-plan living room and kitchen, and a bathroom. We booked for three nights. The cleanliness was appalling. There were hairs on the towels and on the sheets of both beds, as well as in the bathroom. It was disgusting. Apart from that, it was fine.
