Hotel ibis Strasbourg Centre Halles

I could see the tip of the cathedral from my room, and it looked awesome lit up at night. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was lovely, and staff were accommodating. It’s near the centre and inside a shopping centre, so finding something to eat is easy.

The breakfast buffet was inviting and very reasonably priced, with lots of dishes to choose from. The food was tasty and good quality. The hotel is arranged a little oddly, with two hotels in the same building. Its location is very central, and the adjacent parking garage is reached directly from the hotel by elevator, but parking costs extra. I believe the hotel discount was around 15%. My room was on the small side, with a large TV, a very comfortable bed, and a moderate view. It was very clean and overall satisfying.

The rooms on the 7th floor had been renovated recently. The bed was very comfortable, and the sound isolation was good, as you'd expect from a classic IBIS. My only complaint about the renovation is that there’s no longer a coffee machine in the room.

The reception offered us mulled wine and biscuits in the evening, a thoughtful touch that made us feel welcome. Christmas decorations gave the place a lovely festive feel, and the room was clean. We spent one night at Ibis Centre Halles, and they kindly let us check in early. We were very pleased with the stay, which added to a happy day in Strasbourg.
