Le Finkwiller

The staff are so nice and always try to make sure you have what you need, very mama style. There's a well-organized kitchen, which is great if you want to save some money, and the hostel is near the city centre too. A super nice, homey place, highly recommended for a stay in Strasbourg.

Everything seemed fine until we went into our rooms. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and I'd rather sleep on the street than in a place this messy and awful. It felt like whoever set it up had tried to make it as horrible as possible, even while making it look attractive on booking sites. Maybe they even pay people to leave four- and five-star reviews. Don't be fooled by the low price or claims that there's lots to offer. To me, that just covers up the bitter reality and their scam trick.

A proper hostel, simple rather than fancy, with nice shared spaces and decent prices. The owners are very nice, and the location is really good. The one small downside is that there are no lockers in the room.

I got a lot of bites, possibly from insects. I suspect bed bugs because I saw one in the living room. Treatment for bed bugs was underway while I was there, but it hadn't been completed yet.
