The Executive Apartment on the second level was top quality, and Catherine was a great help, even carrying one of our heavy bags up two flights of stairs. Moving the car out of the pedestrian-only zone was only a small hassle. We worried the bars and nightclubs below would be noisy, but that turned out not to be an issue. There’s no dishwasher or air-conditioning, and the TV didn’t work. Those were minor drawbacks in this beautiful city, as long as the weather isn’t hot. Great location, highly recommended.

The manager eventually brought a bedspread and blanket, but when I reported that they hadn’t been provided in the first place, she said she had “no solution.” It took a long time to get that response, and it felt dismissive given what I’d paid. I spent $600 for two nights at Apartment 32, in the middle of winter, and there was no hot water either. At first I had to pull the sofa over by the radiator and wrap myself in my coat to keep warm. Without hot water, I couldn’t shower properly or warm up after traveling. I’ve rarely had such a bad stay anywhere. Basic comfort was missing, and I’d tell anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to stay to look elsewhere.

We canceled because of a family emergency. At first they offered to change the date, and we accepted right away. Then they told us we hadn’t canceled, even though we have texts, calls, and emails confirming what happened. They kept our money and didn’t honor their part. Do not book this property.

There’s some noise from the crowds and nearby restaurants, as you’d expect in the inner city. Still, I’d definitely stay here again. Our host knew we were arriving by bike and kindly put us on the ground floor. The pedestrian-zone location is fun, and the apartment has modern amenities with a small kitchen that’s reasonably equipped. It’s just big enough to feel cute and tiny without feeling cramped, and there’s a washing machine in the unit.
